Whether you are Dutch and have moved back to The Netherlands after years of living abroad, or an International living in the Hague, everyone is welcome. I support (young) adults to navigate life transitions such as career changes, expat relocation, becoming a parent or going through a divorce. I can also support you if you feel stuck and or burnt out, want to understand yourself better and feel more grounded in your daily life. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you understand your unique strengths, challenges, and needs. I offer an affirming, non-judgmental space to explore whatever challenges you are facing. Whether you are new to therapy or returning to it, we will work together at your pace. My goal is to help you feel more at home in yourself—and in your life (here in The Hague).
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY in THE HAGUE
Therapy for Expats, Young Adults & TCKs
How I work
I work as an English-speaking psychologist offering individual therapy in The Hague and online. My approach is integrative and person-centered, shaped by my background in psychology, schema therapy, counselling, and psychosexual therapy. I’m curious about how past experiences shape the present, and how becoming aware of our patterns creates space for change. Sessions with me feel like a collaborative conversation, where I meet you as a whole person rather than a set of symptoms. I tailor the work to you — sometimes gently reflective, sometimes more practical — and may offer exercises or prompts between sessions to support insight and growth beyond the therapy room.
Session Length: 60 minutes
Frequency: Weekly or every two weeks.
Languages: I offer sessions primarily in English. I can also offer sessions in Dutch if needed, but please note English is my main language.
Practical Information
- Fees: Please contact me for an overview of the costs. I also offer discounted rates for students. * Student slots are currently almost full and there might be a short waiting list *
- Insurance: I work as a private-pay therapist and do not have contracts with insurance providers. This means no GP referral is needed and we can start therapy directly (depending on my availability). Some international insurance plans may offer reimbursement; clients are responsible for checking this with their insurer.
- In-person therapy: I offer in person sessions at my practice in The Hague. Some clients choose hybrid sessions with a mix of online and in-person sessions. This allows for more flexibility during the therapy.
- Online therapy: For clients who want to attend sessions from the comfort of their own home, whether in the Netherlands or abroad, we have found that online therapy can be just as effective as in person sessions.
- Complaints: I adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Netherlands Institute of Psychologists and am committed to providing thoughtful, professional care. I welcome open feedback at any point. Should you have a complaint please contact me in the first instance and I will see how I can help. If concerns cannot be resolved together, a formal complaints procedure is available.
